Who we are
MadamVortex.com is operated by New Faction Inc d/b/a Madam Vortex ("we", "us"). Madam Vortex is a fictional entertainment experience; all services on this site are provided for entertainment purposes only, and responses may be generated or assisted by automated systems, including artificial intelligence.
Information we collect
Account information: email address, display name, and authentication data (managed by our provider, Supabase). Purchase information: order history and subscription status; payment card details are processed by Stripe and never touch our servers. Experience inputs: the text, names, dates, dream descriptions, and photos you voluntarily submit to generate a reading. Technical data: IP address and basic device information used for security, rate limiting, and audit logging.
How we use your information
To generate and deliver the experiences you purchase; to maintain your saved readings library; to process payments and subscriptions via Stripe; to send transactional email via Postmark (and SMS via Twilio, only if you opt in); to send our newsletter if you double-opt-in; to protect the service through rate limiting and audit logs; and to comply with legal obligations.
AI processing disclosure
Content you submit for a reading is transmitted to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) solely to generate your reading. Your inputs are treated as data, not instructions, and are subject to those providers' data-handling terms. We do not use your inputs to train models.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors necessary to run the service: Supabase (auth, database, storage), Stripe (payments), Sanity (site content — not your personal data), Postmark (email), Twilio (optional SMS), Vercel (hosting), and AI providers (reading generation). We do not sell personal information.
Your rights
You can access, export, and permanently delete your data yourself, instantly, from My Readings → Privacy & data — no request form, no waiting. Account deletion erases your profile, readings, inputs, order history, and payment profile. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR; see "Your Privacy Rights" for details. We honor all verified requests and never discriminate against you for exercising them.
Retention & security
Readings persist in your library until you delete them or your account. We apply industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, least-privilege service credentials, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to security [at] madamvortex [dot] com.
